Easter (delayed post)

As a Christian, Easter is an extremely important time of year for me, I love Christmas, the excitement, the time with family and ok, my birthday. For me however, Easter signifies a time of faith and true celebration, for He lives…Jesus lives.

This Easter was a more emotional one for a number of reasons. My Jamaican grandparents were both born on the 1st April and this year was the first year since my grandfather’s passing last year, that my grandmother celebrated it by herself since they met over 70 years ago. It is also the first Easter since my British grandmother’s passing earlier this year. Even though they have passed they were both Christians, which has been a real comfort to the family.

So what does coaching have to do with Easter? The connection is about accepting change, being willing to see obstacles as opportunities and “accepting the things that we cannot change, having the courage to change the things we can and the wisdom to know the difference” – an edited version of the Serenity Prayer.
